finnfemfel

finnfemfel, born in 1998, is a German-Finnish artist group consisting of Albert Braun, Marcus Lerviks and Oskar Lindström. Ideas are developed, organized and finally realized together, often with invited guests. Everyday life is the starting point and source of all activities. The tension of the artistic work moves between reality, fiction, simulation and the narrative. Humor and the grotesque are essential components. Despite different individual approaches and places of residence, the end result is always a collective, 3 people – 1 work!

Current and former members Albert Braun, Marcus Lerviks and Oskar Lindström.
Simo Brotherus left the group in 2002.

“Mika Hannula: Let’s start with an easy one: why space? What’s so interesting with space as a wide huge unknown above us?

fff: It opens the perspective and offers a lot of space for one’s own thoughts and ideas without restrictions: “Space would not be space without a race.” However, it is also all about terrestrial space and a location for presentation. This has always been important to us.
But then again, well, it seems accepted and cool for rich people and countries to burn billions of euros to go there.
And come to think about it, in fact, that’s exactly why we are doing this project. Personally, I don’t think there is anything interesting about space. But humanity seems to think the saving is out there! …”

Finnfemfel is invited to take part in the exhibition Tuuletus! at the Laupa Art Museum in Finland, with an updated version of the project Ping-Pong – East meets West, how do we communicate? called The Metal Fence Infront of Us, The Mental Fence within Us, Ping-Pong, How do We Communicate?.

TUULETUS! (celebration) – the exhibition approaches sports through art. In the exhibition, the important thing is not the competition, but the venting of thoughts and feelings. The focus is on sports performances recorded by artists in different ways, sports events, venues and various emotions related to sports. Sport can also be a tool for making art. The works are photographs, spatial works, paintings and videos. The way to approach the subject is different for each artist.
